Speaker Anambra State House Of Assembly Declares 2019 As A Year Of Abundant Progress

The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Barrister Rita Maduagwu, has assured Ndi Anambra that the state legislature would continue to enact laws aimed at improving their living standard. 

In her New Year message, Barrister Maduagwu described the New Year 2019 as a year of abundant progress for the State and the citizenry. The Speaker called on politicians in the state irrespective of party affiliations to join hands with Governor Willie Obiano in moving the state to greater heights.

She enjoined various religious bodies in the state to intensify prayers for the continuous peace and progress of the state as well as the peaceful conduct of the forthcoming general elections.

Barrister Maduagwu who prayed God for more protection of the citizenry throughout the New Year, enjoined security operatives, traditional rulers as well as Presidents-General of various communities in the state to complement Governor Obiano’s wonderful security initiative by fishing out miscreants in their localities. She wished all Ndi Anambra a Prosperous and eventful New Year.
