Sports Minister, Dalung Extols Onigbinde At 80

Barrister Solomon Dalung has congratulated former Super Eagles Technical Adviser Chief Adegboye Onigbinde on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
The Minister of Youth and Sports who joined millions of football lovers and well meaning Nigerians to wish the octogenarian a happy birthday thanked God for keeping him for eight decades.
Dalung described Onigbinde who led the Super Eagles to the 2002 World Cup in Korea/Japan as an achiever and a hero who had paid his dues in the development of Nigeria’s football.
“Chief Adegboyega Onigbinde is a highly respected Nigerian soccer tactician who also served as CAF and FIFA Technical instructor. His contributions to the development of Football in the country is greatly appreciated. On this special day, we pray that God will preserve his life with good health. We wish him many more years.” Dalung said.
Chief Onigbinde was in charge  of Shooting Stars Sports Club in Ibadan in 1984 when the Club reached the final of the Africa Club Champions Cup. Same year, he led Nigeria to the final of the Africa Cup of Nations.
