A stakeholder and former House of Assembly aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, Hon Olaide John Bello, popularly known as OJB, said that though the stake and expectations are very high that the Governor-elect, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has what it takes to deliver the dividends of democracy to Lagosians.

In a release made available to newsmen on Sunday, Hon Bello said that with the vision outlined in the T.H.E.M.E template by Sanwo-Olu and Dr. Hamzat, there is no doubt that they will hit the ground running once they are sworn in as the Executive Governor and Deputy Governor of Lagos State on Wednesday.

“For Sanwo-Olu, as a security awareness expert, who had helped set up the Lagos State Security Trust Fund in September 2007 and subsequently became a board member for over four years while he was Commissioner for Commerce and Industry under the former Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola, the issue of security will get good attention.  As one of the pioneers of LAGBUS, he will equally bring his experience of over the years to bear and bring solution the transportation issues in the state as promised during the electioneering campaigns.”

“Also being instrumental to the preparation and publication of the Lagos State Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (LASEEDS) which created an environment that fosters private sector participation, we are sure of policies and programmes that will improve the relationship between government and Organised Private Sector in Lagos.”

“Look at Dr. Hamzat, he took the state of infrastructures in Lagos to lofty heights as Commissioner of Works under BRF administration. As Deputy Governor, I’m very sure that his experience will count in that area and equally in the education sector which often falls under the purview of his office.”

“Even though the expectations are very high, I’m very certain that the duo have all it takes to deliver the dividends of democracy to Lagosians” Hon Bello assured.
