Stakeholders Laud Rivers Lawmaker Over First Bonny Fire Station, Capacity Building Of Constituents

Taking into reflective cognizance the strategic roles and social responsibilities of the Federal Fire Service Commission’s Mandate, which among other things include:


✓ To produce firefighters proficient in the prevention and mitigation of fire and other emergencies.


✓ To ensure safety of lives and properties by extinguishing, control and prevention of fire outbreak through quick response of her well trained firefighters. 

 ✓ To extinguish, control and prevent fire from affecting rescued victims during an emergency in order to save life and property. 


✓ Collection of information to assess risk in affected areas as well as protect the health and safety of her workers. 

The above however, was the driving force behind the vision, conceptualization and implementation of the laudable idea of the construction of  first ever Bonny Fire Station; a Constituency Project mid-wifed and  facilitated by no less personality than the Rivers State House of Assembly Committee Chairman on Power and the  member representing Bonny Constituency, Hon. Engr. Abinye  Blessing Pepple, a fortnight ago.

The state-of-the-art multi million Naira  Bonny Fire Station project, we reliably gathered was built by Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG), a major player in the global liquefied natural gas business  operating in Bonny Island, situated at the Southern edge of Rivers State in the Niger Delta region, at the instance of Hon. Engr. Abinye Blessing Pepple, as traditional rulers, political leaders, stakeholders, critical members of his State Constituency and good people of Bonny Ancient Kingdom, whose interests he represent in Rivers State, applauded the legislator for attracting the laudable signature project for the service of God and humanity.

While thanking God for the sufficient  grace to embark on his facilitated laudable legacy project, Bonny Fire Station, the second term state legislator, Hon Abinye Blessing Pepple, appreciated in no small measures the Management and Staff of Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) for their huge support towards the training of the 20 personnel, members of his Constituency, who shall proficiently and professionally man the Bonny Fire Station; under the watch of Prime Atlantic Safety Services – renowned providers of fire -fighting training services in Nigeria and within African continent, as he listed names of the first and second batches of successful trainees for October and November intakes as follows:

The articulate State legislator and  recipient of Ghana-Nigeria Achievers Award, Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, who was honoured in far away Accra, Ghana, recently, for his impactful legislative outings, people-oriented bills  and leadership dexterity, also expressed his profound appreciation to the Rivers State Governor, His Excellency Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, JP, POS Africa, for according him the rare privilege in nominating the project as his Constituency Project for Bonny State Constituency.

He however, seized the opportunity the medium created to also thank His Royal Majesty, King Edward Asimini William Dappa III, CON, JP, Perekule XI, Amanyanabo and Natural Ruler of Ancient Grand Bonny Kingdom for his fatherly role, encouragement and support.

An obviously elated Abinye Blessing Pepple, created a noticeable space in acknowledging Amaopusenibo Hon. Rodaford Opuwari Long John, whom he described as his political father, leader and mentor, for his unflinching support, unwavering love and guide all through his political career and milestone recorded as a state legislator.
Addressing the press during the oversight of the multi-million Naira  Bonny Fire Station, the highly excited and fulfilled State Legislator, Abinye Pepple,  alongside select leaders of Bonny Constituency, stated that “…It is our  resolve to significantly demonstrate our collective and concerted responsibility to bequeath transformational and legacy landmark projects that will remain enduring even when we exit public office”.
