A 30-year old man, Lekan Jubril, has confessed to the Police that he knew he will turn out a criminal as he started smoking Indian hemp at the tender age of 10, had participated in so many criminal activities and had gone to prison three times in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the Oyo State-born Jubril hinted he was not sure he will ever stop stealing. He said based on the fact that each time he was arrested, sent to prison and he comes out, the drive to steal becomes stronger and the tendency was always there to commit crime.
He said that the first time he was arrested and charged to Court, he spent eight months in prison but when he came out he continued stealing; he was caught again and sentenced to two years of imprisonment.
Jubril said he spent only six months before he got State pardon and was released before he committed another crime, was arrested and sent to prison where he spent two months before the latest arrest.

The suspect said he had not thought of doing any other thing than to steal from people and usually operated as one-man squad in his operations.
He said he landed in trouble after he joined three other members of his gang to burgle an apartment and he was eventually caught by the Police.
They carted away some valuables including laptop, mobile phone and other items and he was eventually caught by Police operatives from Ejigbo Division led by CSP Olabisi Okuwobi.

The incident happened at Okoye Street, Bucknor Estate in Ejigbo, Lagos.

The suspect was detained at the Police Station, where he was said to have confessed that he was a criminal and had sold some of the items he stole.
When P.M.EXPRESS correspondent visited Ejigbo Police Division, Jubril was detained at the station but the DPO was said to have gone to the State Police Command for CP briefing.
However, a Police source said that Jubril will be charged to Court for burglary and stealing.
