Strong Resilience Seals 2–1 Victory For Buruj Boys Over Adhoc FA

Posted on December 18, 2025

Respected Ikorodu-based football side, Buruj FC, showed great resilience to secure a 2–1 victory over Adhoc FA in an entertaining friendly match.

Aliu Owolabi Fatai, recently back in Nigeria following the end of the season, delivered a standout performance for his former club, Buruj FC. Within the first 16 minutes, Aliu provided a precise assist to Sola Abimbola, who opened the scoring for the Buruj Boys. Just four minutes later, Aliu doubled the advantage by scoring himself in the 20th minute.

New signing and winger, Benjamin Olamilekan Oyedele, made an impressive debut, displaying calmness and elite quality on the ball. He completed five successful dribbles and recorded two shots on target, marking a promising first appearance for the club.

Adhoc FA pulled one back in the 69th minute after being awarded a penalty, which was calmly converted by Qudus Adelowo. Despite dominating possession for large spells of the match, Adhoc FA struggled with poor finishing and failed to capitalize on their chances.

Buruj FC held firm defensively to see out the game, sealing a well-earned victory despite sustained pressure from their opponents.
