SYF Honours Wave 91.7 FM With Excellence Award

Respected group, Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria, under the leadership of Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe, has honoured an exceptional radio station, Wave 91.7 FM, with an award for excellent service delivery. 

Speaking on Saturday 28th June, 2025, in Port Harcourt, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe said that the radio station was considered for the honour in recognition of their effective discharge of news reportage and social responsibility to the society thereby contributing to the security and well-being of members of the society especially in the Niger Delta region.

Before the presentation, the Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria had earlier joined the 29th edition of the Walk For Safety Walk For Security, an initiative of Wave 91.7 FM. This edition, which was tagged “Walk For A Rebranded Rivers State”, took off from 30 Forces Avenue, Old GRA, Port Harcourt.

Reacting on the honour by Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria, the General Manager of Wave 91.7 FM thanked the group for the good things they have doing in the region. He dedicated the award to God Almighty and Wave 91.7 FM team for their commitment and consistency. He thanked the group for recognizing that it is necessary to work together and build a formidable society.

The General Manager also pointed out that being recognised as the Best Radio Station in the whole of Niger Delta calls for celebration. He used the opportunity to reiterate that Wave 91.7 FM will continue to remain a people and youth oriented station renowned for quality and effective discharge of news reportage.
