SYF & ONC Pass Vote Of No Confidence On Hon. Solomon Bob

Two reputable groups, the Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria, SYF and Orashi National Congress, ONC, have passed a vote of no confidence on the Honourable lawmaker representing Abua/Odual and Ahoada East Federal Constituency, Hon. Solomon Bob. 
The pronouncement came at the end of a crucial meeting of the leadership of the Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria and Orashi National Congress in Ahoada town on Monday 1st April, 2024.
While speaking to journalists after their crucial meeting on behalf of the two groups, Snr. Comrade Emeni Ibe lamented the attitude of the legislator not minding the huge support the groups had given to him over the years especially culminating to his reelection.
He said, “Today, at the end of our crucial meeting, the leadership of the Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria and Orashi National Congress unanimously resolved to pass a vote of no confidence on our lawmaker, Hon. Solomon Bob, representing the good people of Abua/Odual and Ahoada East Federal Constituency”.
“Quality representation births dividends of democracy at the grassroots. The groups therefore, state that they have not seen or benefitted any democracy dividends since Hon. Solomon Bob got returned to the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.”
“Members of the SYF and ONC had been forced to regret their endorsements and huge support to the Honourable lawmaker, as he has failed to reciprocate or recognize the efforts the groups made in mobilizing total support for him before and during the election.”
“We have heard a few people mention about empowerment in our area but none of empowerment programmes has been extended to our groups. We have formally written letters but he chose to ignore our letters without any acknowledgment.”
“For our unflinching support, we know that we deserve not to be abandoned the way he did. And through letters we have formally registered our displeasure about the abandonment. But rising from our crucial moment today, we have decided to embark on protest. We have resolved to drive home our displeasure about the deliberate exclusion and denial by a man who benefited from our resolution and support. We will show the same at any public functions, where he is present.”
“For record purposes, the SYF and ONC are not political groups supporting any political party or faction in Rivers State. We are organizations committed to the promotion of peace, development and unity of our people. We have remained open to drive peace, security and development initiatives and stakeholders across the Niger Delta region had always appreciated our immense efforts and we do hope that the lawmaker will do likewise. “
