SYF Targets 13 Million Votes In 17 Southern States For Tinubu’s Re-election In 2027 – Says Amb. Emeni Ibe

The Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria (SYF) has declared its intention to mobilize no fewer than 13 million votes across the 17 Southern states of the federation in support of the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking with journalists in Port Harcourt, the National President of the Southern Youth Foundation, Emeni Ibe, said the organization had commenced strategic consultations and grassroots mobilization aimed at rallying millions of youths behind the President’s second-term aspiration.

According to Ibe, the Foundation has concluded plans to organize a massive endorsement rally that will bring together youths, community leaders, stakeholders, and supporters from across the country, particularly from the Southern region, to publicly affirm their support for President Tinubu.

“The Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria has put plans in motion to mobilize youths across the country in support of Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR,” he said.

“As part of our plans, we shall hold a grand endorsement rally. This rally is designed to unite Southern Nigerian youths in appreciation of the President’s leadership and to encourage him to seek re-election in 2027.”

Ibe disclosed that the Foundation’s target is to secure at least 13 million votes from the South, leveraging its extensive youth networks spread across the South-South, South-East, and South-West geopolitical zones.

He noted that the organization’s decision was informed by what it described as the remarkable achievements of the Tinubu administration under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Among the achievements highlighted were the removal of fuel subsidy, increased allocations to states, financial autonomy for local governments, expansion of student loan opportunities, implementation of a new national minimum wage, ongoing infrastructural development, and efforts to strengthen national security and economic reforms.

“We are planning this endorsement rally to appreciate Mr. President for his giant strides in governance over the past years, to reassure him that Southern Nigeria is comfortable with his leadership, and to encourage him to consider a second term in office,” Ibe stated.

He further emphasized that the rally would serve as a platform for Southern youths to collectively express their confidence in the administration and their readiness to contribute to the President’s re-election campaign.

“That is the day the youths of Southern extraction will speak with one voice in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his vision for a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria,” he added.

The Southern Youth Foundation maintained that youth participation remains crucial to the nation’s democratic development and pledged to continue engaging young people in constructive political activities aimed at promoting national unity, good governance, and sustainable development.

Political observers say the announcement signals the beginning of early mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections, with youth organizations increasingly positioning themselves as influential stakeholders in the country’s political landscape.
