Teacher Arrested For Sexually Molesting 2-Year Old Pupil

The police in Lagos have arrested a 27-year old teacher, Mr. Balogun Afeez, over unruly conduct as he reportedly sexually molested one of his pupils, a 2-year old girl inside the classroom in the school premises.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened a Holbrook Creche Nursery and Primary School in Pedro area of Gbagada, Lagos, where the school was located.

It was gathered that Mr. Afeez took the 2-year old victim to one of the classrooms, removed her pant and inserted his joystick into her private part.
However, he was caught in the act by the school security. He denied initially but the victim kept pointing at her private part, Afeez’s joystick and the bruises she sustained from the forceful penetration.

The suspect, Afeez, was handed over to the police in the area who then transferred the matter to the Gender Section of the State Command, Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that after investigations, the police found Afeez culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates court for defiling the 2-year old.
The prosecutor, Mr. Christopher John, informed the court that the defendant defiled the victim who was a minor inside the school premises and was caught in the act.
His plea was not taken and he was not granted bail because of the seriousness of the offence.
It was gathered that the case of defilement was felony which could land the suspect up to 10 years imprisonment if tried and convicted by court.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. Peter Nwaka, ordered Afeez to be remanded in prison custody and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 17th September, 2018, for the report of the DPP to be ready. If the report finds Afeez culpable, the matter will be transferred to the High Court for trial.
