The Contest Of Evil
Posted on July 20, 2023

We can’t fetch water with basket. And nothing done in darkness is ever done well. Nigerians have seen bitter moments, riding through rough roads since the rebirth of our democracy, and above all, have been through hell and have seen ugliest faces in the hands of the immediate past dictatorial administration and are now in dire need of a deliverer to water their burnt pots.
The hardship caused by corrupt leadership settings have hardened the hearts of the majority populace to embrace surviving through monstrous, abysmal and deceitful means without minding the negative effects of their ill actions on others. For their pleasures in search of treasures against all evens, the negative pressures from the stressors of their actions on external bodies are not featured in their board measures. The demise of conscience.
A 19 years old girl, Mmesoma Joy Ejikeme, has substantiated the very existence of high level of corruption in our society with her falsified JAMB result to deceive the entire world. She made herself top scorer in the same fashion our election results are being fabricated and imposed on the public. Fela Anikulapo Kuti asserts, “Wetin leaders dey do, na e people dey do” Corruption forms part of education where education is corrupt.
In a placid bearing, she courageously, pretentiously and openly defended her falsified JAMB result, but obviously lacked the financial muscle to hire copious number of Senior Advocate of Nigeria that would have made her magic a reality in our obscure system of judicature. As such, she found herself in a nightmare of crincum-crancum, openly singing the lyrics of her falsification. It is so unfortunate that the whole government structures in our society are being run in bluff.
Evil is fast becoming a norm in our society as many have endorsed it as the quickest route to Eldorado. No place to call home, for our majority home towns have become war zones with ultra kidnapping threat.
It seems we are at the point of no return base on the proliferation, bankrolling and the legalization of evil in the past administration. It will take a dedicated non conformist individual to restructure the system and lead us towards the city of wellness, which the populace harplessly anticipate from the present administration.
Security is a treasure that frees one from the pressures of life. If l am to describe the leadership of Muhammadu Buhari, I would describe it in totality as a Holocaust. Buhari, in pretence, sought Justice but did no Justice for the equity of others. He lacked the pivotal side on which morality turns, true compassion.
Corruption has made our life experience in Nigeria a troubling episode in the blissful repose of nothingness. Now, the globally tagged highest producer of petroleum products in Africa has procured a licence to import same petroleum products. Still in chain.
