The elected Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Oriade LCDA, Nze Edwin Egboka, has warned members of the public to be aware that there is no faction in Ohanaeze since he was elected as the Chairman by the Electoral Committee appointed by Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Nze Egboka (Eze Eziokwu) stated this on the heels of claims by Eze Chukwuakalikamadu Emmanuel that Nze Egboka is a factional Chairman of Ohanaeze in Oriade LCDA.
He stated that he was elected as the Chairman of Ohanaeze Oriade LCDA by the electoral committee led by Chief Oliver Akubueze, who were appointed by the president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene.
Chief Egboka regretted that Eze Chukwuakalikamadu Emmanuel has tried to cause confusion and divide Ohanaeze in Oriade LCDA but failed woefully while Ohanaeze is intact and united in the 11 zones.
He explained that Ohanaeze Ndigbo recognized Eze Umenwekwe Chukwukadibe and Eze Emmanuel Chukwuakalikamadu as Ezes and the decision is final.
He explained that the person Eze Chukwuakalikamadu is parading as factional Chairman, Chief Victor Nnotum, is the Deputy Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Oriade LCDA and the certificate was issued by the electoral committee Chairman, Chief Oliver Akubueze, as such he cannot claim to be a factional leader.
Nze Egboka warned that any person or group who would want to cause crises in Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Oriade LCDA should desist because Ohanaeze will not accept such and may take necessary disciplinary actions.
He explained that the issue of Ezeship in Oriade LCDA has been resolved with Eze Chukwukadibe and Eze Chukwuakalikamadu recognized as Eze in Oriade LCDA and that is the final decision by Ohanaeze and all parties are expected to comply for peace to reign.
Nze Egboka stated that he will not respond to a drowning man, who claimed that he made him Chairman of Ohanaeze in Oriade. He explained that it should be on record that he was elected as the Chairman by Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Oriade LCDA in a free and fair election organized by Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State through an electoral committee led by Chief Akubueze.
