The All Progressives Congress Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has sent his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the President of Africa Development Bank, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, over the death of his mother.

In a letter dated January 13, 2023 and personally signed by him, Tinubu admonished the Nigeria’s former Minister of Agriculture to take heart even with the pain the death of his mother, Madam Eunice Olaperi Folashade Adesina, has brought.

The APC Presidential candidate noted that having lost his own mother in the past he could feel the distraught the death of a beloved mother could bring.

Madam Adesina died on Thursday, December 22, 2022, just three days before Christmas.

Tinubu wrote in the condolence letter: “There is no one in the world like a mother. Losing an intimate person like a mom hurts deeply. I know how it feels because I have experienced this before as well. My sympathies are with you at this challenging moment. But we must all be comforted by the sweet memories of the times we shared together with our parents”.

“I understand your mom was a wonderful mother, who lived a fulfilled and impactful life.  She served her community and the nation well both as a teacher and as a businessperson.  I hope you find solace and strength in knowing that she was a great mother to you and your siblings. Mama will never be forgotten.”

“Please accept my prayers and well wishes for the entire family. I pray the Almighty God give you the fortitude to bear the loss of Mama. Do find consolation in the assurance that she is in a better place after a long and impactful sojourn on earth.

“May the soul of your dear mother rest. Amen!” he concluded.
