Top Entertainment Players Move To Orphanage Home For Talents Hunt

It was an amazing time at the popular orphanage home know as Compassionate Home located at Green land Estate, Isheri Olofin area of Lagos as the orphans displayed their gifts and talents to the surprise of the guests.

Among the guests were top players in the entertainment industry who went there to scout for talents of various kinds and they were not disappointed as the kids displayed their gifts.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that some of the guests were popular comedian, Mr. Harrison Akpobeme a.k.a Akpos and David Mokuachukwu, MD King David Entertainment Limited. Many other top shots in the entertainment industry graced the event.

The event was sponsored by King David alongside other companies and individuals in order to make it a huge success. The director of the home, Rev. Dr. G. Oyediji, thanked the sponsors and urged the members of the society to always remember those in the orphanage homes because they need assistance to survive.
Oyediji, who is a senior pastor of the Four Square Gospel Church, said that the home was committed to practical demonstration of compassion to the helpless, hopeless and the homeless in the society.
Pastor Oyediji who is also a community leader and National Secretary of Association of Orphanage and Home Operators in Nigeria, ASOHON, said that they provide not just houses but homes where love is shared without any discrimination of race, tribe and religion. Oyediji said that they have a crop of seasoned and volunteer experienced social workers providing adequate care for the children in the home as well as psycho-social support for them.

The director of the home explained that their major goal was to see every child in their care fulfill their destiny and to achieve that they work with the Lagos State Government and its agencies to achieve the goal. The Management board also works day and night to ensure that the children were comfortable through individual and organisational supports.

The sponsor of the talents hunt at the home, King David, said that the event was organised as part of their corporate responsibility to give back to the society by taking care of the less privileged in the society. He appealed to individuals and organisations to assist the helpless in the society as the government and the management of orphanage homes cannot do it alone.

In the same vein, Akpos noted that there were amazing talents among the children in the homes and expressed his commitment to work and assist to develop those talents for the betterment of those children and the society. The children displayed their talents in the areas of singing, dancing, arts, comedy and many other skills at the event.
