Two Female Suspected Cult Leader Arrested In Lagos

The police have arrested two females, Aisatu Sodiq, 22 and Damilola Olamilekan, 19 suspected to be leaders of notorious Awawu Cult who had been terrorising some residents in Lagos.
The suspects were arrested at Ijora Badia area while they were leading violent operation in the area.
Also arrested were some members which include Adam Soliu, Mutiu Sulamon, Odukoya Amimasahun and others.
The suspects were arrested and charged before Apapa Magistrate’s court for causing violence and attacking the residents with dangerous weapons such knives, cutlasses, axes and others.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered their arrest followed their violent attack on the residents including one Prince Kehinde Omonisi where they broke and entered his house and stole valuables.
Among the items they stole that early morning at about 12 am at Gangare ijora Badia area include money, handsets phones, necklace and others.
Their activities was reported to the police who arrested the suspects with the assistance of the residents.
Some of the suspects escaped and since then, they have been on the run.
The arrested suspects were charged to court where they pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr M.A. Etti granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The court ordered them to be remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
The matter was further adjourned till i3 February 2017.
