Umeh, Obi, Soludo, Others Attend World Peace Day
The Labour Party Senatorial Candidate in Anambra Central, Senator Dr. Victor Umeh OFR (Ohamadike Ndigbo), yesterday attended the 2022 World Peace Day Celebration organized by the United Nations Peace and Positive Living Awareness Centre holding at the Prof Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre in Awka, Anambra State.
Senator Umeh was at the event representing the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi and to felicitate with an ally and Ambassador For Peace Award recipient, Chief Clement Nwachukwu (Akaomajideaku na Awka).
The Governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, was also present represented by his Chief of Staff, Dr. Ernest Ezeajughi.
Highlights of the event included presentation of special Peace Ambassadors Award to Governor Charles Soludo (Mayor For World Peace) and His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi ( Mayor For World Peace) and special talks.
In his remarks, Senator Victor Umeh commended the organizers of the event pointing out that “Peace and Positive Living” as well as fairness and equity are fundamental elements in achieving a peaceful, united and progressive society.
He emphasized the importance of supporting the Presidential aspiration of Mr. Peter Obi, who according to him, has the knowledge and experience to administer the needed solution to the problems bedeviling the country. He therefore, urged the people to sustain the support and solidarity for the OBIdient Movement and the Labour Party in view of the 2023 General Elections.
Also present at the event were the Traditional Ruler of Umueri, Igwe Sir Ben Emeka (Okebo Umueri) and the MD/CEO of Anambra Broadcasting Service, Chief Chido Obidiegwu and others.
