Umuchu Town Thrown Into Mourning As Igwe Gody Ezechukwu Loses Wife

Umuchu town in Aguata Local Government of Anambra State has been thrown into morning following the death of the wife of their traditional ruler, Igwe Gody Ezechukwu.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the patriarch’s wife, Rev. Ngozi Ezechukwu, passed on yesterday and was immediately buried at her husband’s compound according to her wish.
The indigenes have expressed shock over the death because there was no report that she was sick before she died yesterday.
Not much was known about Late Mrs. Ezechukwu before she passed on because she was working behind the scenes supporting her husband and playing her role dutifully as the wife of the King.
According to the indigenes, the late Rev. Ngozi Ezechukwu (Mother General) was a faithful wife, a virtuous woman, a woman of God and a devoted Christian, who until her death committed herself to the things of God.
She was said to be humble, simple and cared much for the less privileged in the society and that was why she requested that she should be buried immediately she dies, which has been fulfilled by the family.
She had married her husband, Igwe Ezechukwu for over 50 years and they had lived peacefully until she passed on. The marriage produced many children and grandchildren children who live in various cities across the world.
Following the death, activities in the Umuchu palace has been temporarily suspended as indigenes were said to have joined in the mourning both home and abroad while praying that her gentle soul rests in peace.
