Umuigbo United Assembly Tasks President Tinubu On Security In Nigeria

The founder and National President of Umuigbo United Assembly worldwide, Amb. Dr Raph NwaDavid, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to tackle the issue of security in Nigeria because it is affecting the economy and causing untold hardship to the people.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Dr NwaDavid stated this in Lagos during a press conference on the state of the nation, where he also commended President Tinubu for his efforts to rejig Nigeria to a better society.

He stated that there is need for all the critical stakeholders including the security agencies, Igbo leaders, traditional rulers and others to come together and find a way to tackle the issue of insecurity in Nigeria.

He particularly mentioned the SouthEast and Northern part of Nigeria, where the insecurity has become the order of the day and has obstructed businesses and farming in those areas respectively.

He explained that if the issue of insecurity is resolved, the economy will as well improve and the suffering of the people will be reduced because people will be able to transact their businesses and farmers will go back to their farms unmolested.

On the plan of Umuigbo United Assembly on the insecurity in the South East, Dr NwaDavid explained that the group is planning for Igbo Stakeholders Summit, which will be held in Enugu State, where the Igbo leaders will come together and find the lasting solution to the problem in the whole SouthEast.

On the hardship being faced by Nigerians, NwaDavid, who is also the Managing Director of Ramson David Oil and Gas company, advised Nigerians to be patient with President Tinubu because he needs time to fix the economy, which was grounded by the last administration.

He explained that running a country is not like running a town union or social club, where it will take little time to fix things, noting that assessing Tinubu under one year will not be fair enough because he needs more time to perform for at least two years.

Dr NwaDavid also advised Ndigbo to adopt the principles of ‘Think Home’ by investing in Igbo land in order to develop the whole SoutEast because charity begins from the home for the future of Igbo children.

On the aims and objectives of Umuigbo United Assembly,  Dr NwaDavid revealed that the vision of the socio-cultural organization came on 13th November, 2013, when he heard a voice from God to bring Ndigbo together thus, the formation of the group on 2nd January, 2014.

He explained that since  the inauguration, UUA has been moving from strength to strength with branches across the States in Nigeria and in diaspora with spirited individuals joining the group on a daily basis.

Evangelist NwaDavid explained that UUA is open to all ages from 18 years and above, both men and women and the aim and objectives of the group include the welfare of their members and promotion of the Igbo culture especially upholding the traditional institutions to disabuse the mind of the people who believe that Ndigbo have no king and among others.
