UN Women Delegation Visits Ministry Of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (MWAPA), Mrs. Oluyemi Kalesanwo, has restated the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring that women secure stable spaces across entrepreneurial spheres.

Speaking during the courtesy visit by delegates of UN Women alongside Executives of Lagos State Public Procurement Agency, Mrs. Oluyemi Kalesanwo, disclosed that MWAPA will be deliberate at ensuring that women are financially viable as contributors towards economic growth, through slated developmental programmes.

Gender experts as Dr Maxine Huoinato, the UN Women Regional Director for West and Central Africa, as well as the Director General, Lagos State Public Procurement Agency; Mr. Fatai Idowu Onafowote, assured of helping women ventures grow with financial supportive offers , for targeted demographics in the business strata.
