Vehicle Snatching Booms For Quick Money – Suspect

A 25-year old suspected armed robber and strong member of a vehicle
snatching syndicate, Mr. Kingsley Eze has confessed that vehicle snatching
business gives quick money and it can be transacted within short periods
and there will be lots on money to spend.
He said that the business of car snatching was not stressful, the equipment
needed can easily be moved about and his gang remained ever ready to snatch
any vehicle once their clients made demand for supply from them.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Eze revealed that some car dealers were their
major clients who sent them to snatch vehicles and supply to them.
However, the gang was smashed after the operatives of FSARS at Ikeja
Command tracked and arrested one Kingsley Eze and Kehinde Adekunle in their
hideout in Abuja, the Federal Capital city after they snatched a vehicle at
Mosalashi bus stop in Igando area of Lagos and escaped.
The police said their arrested led to the arrest of other members of the
gang in Lagos. Arrested were Ajani Olatunde, 27 Saheed Akangbe, 24 and Ayo
Oyedepo, 30.
They were paraded by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Imohimi
Edgal.
The police also recovered some vehicles the gang had snatched and already
sold to the vehicle dealers at give away prices. The vehicle recovered were
Nissan car with registration number BDG 460 EZ, Toyota Camry, RBC 951AP,
recovered from Kehinde Adekunle and another Toyota car recovered from Ajani
Olatunde and other items.
CP Edgal while parading them alongside other suspects, said that it was
possible due to the police, public partnership and cooperation in combating
crimes in Lagos State. He thanked the public for assisting and reposing
their confidence in the police and said he will ensure that the trust and
cooperation continued.
The police boss said that the suspects will be charged to court after the
conclusion of investigations.
