Vigil Mass Held For Late Prof Vincent Ajiwe In Awka

A Vigil Mass was held yesterday 19th May, 2023, in honour of Late Prof. Vincent Ishmael Ajiwe at St. Joseph Parish, UNIZIK Tempsite, Awka, Anambra State.
In his homily, Rev. Dr. Jude Ezike, identified Prof. V. I. Ajiwe as a good and righteous man. He called on Christians to love one another as Christ has loved us saying that this is the essence of our existence.
The Mass, which was concelebrated by four Priests – Fr. Boniface Nnabuike (Chief Celebrant), Fr. Ifeanyi Onwudinjo, Fr. Ezike Jude (Homilist) and Parish Vicar, Fr. Alphonsus Obiekezie, had in attendance many parishioners and friends of Professor Ajiwe.
The rest of his funeral will hold at his home town, Umungasi-Aba, Abia State. The Wake will be on Thursday, 1st June, 2023, while Requiem Mass, interment and condolence visits will take place on Friday, 2nd June, 2023.
Late Prof Vincent Ajiwe was an active member of the Catholic Men Organization (CMO) of St. Joseph Parish, UNIZIK Tempsite, Awka and a Professor of Chemistry at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
He died at the age of 70.
