We Aren’t ‘Deputy Jesus’!

Posted on January 18, 2022

We do not say these things because we are “Deputy Jesus”. No! Some of us have our own hidden vices and would cringe in shame if ever they go public. This is why even the Bible talks about two types of hearts – – the heart of flesh and the heart of stone. When we trespass, as we are wont to, we get contrite and broken hearted. To us, it is not a Lifestyle that one should own up or be proud of.

Again, it is not “pretence”, it is called decorum.

Many of our Parents or responsible older folks engage in s3.x, but would never nuance or do it in front of us. That is not hypocrisy or pretending, it is about a sense of value, order and mutual survival.

The proclivity to normalise exceptions in this era is a fight we must all ensure we win for the sake of decorum. Even in the midst of Nature’s utter chaos, there is order. Why then should humans seek to live without regulations, restrictions, and caution?

For every choice you make or action you take, there is, and has to be a consequence to it. There has never been a time in life when everything was perfect. We are living a life of competing forces, and our daily task is to choose which Force to submit to. Society has helped by providing rules of conduct. Choose wisely!
