We Strongly Condemn Abduction Of Hector Chinem Ekeakita By Unknown Gunmen In Military Uniform – ONC & SYF

Respected organisations, the Orashi National Congress and Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria, said that their attention has been drawn to the confirmed abduction/kidnapping of Mr. Hector Chinem Ekeakita in evening hours on 16th November, 2023, at De Promise Fast Food Ahoada Town, Ahoada East LGA, Rivers State.
According to reports, Mr. Hector was whisked away by unknown gunmen, who wore Military uniform, after it was alleged that he was invited for a meeting by a yet to be identify individual.
Reacting to the development on behalf of Orashi National Congress and Southern Youth Foundation, their President General, Most Snr. Comrade Emeni Ibe, in a statement said, “We condemn in the very strongest term the abduction/kidnapping of Mr. Hector Chinem”.
“It will be recalled that Mr. Hector Chinem is a major crusader in the fight against crimes and criminality in Ekpeye land. we are therefore, calling on those holding him captive to release him unconditionally.
We equally call on the Commissioner of Police CP Oluntunji Rilwan Disu, the Ahoada Area Commander and the DPO of Ahoada Police Division as a matter of urgency to investigate the kidnap and expedite action in ensuring the safe release of Mr. Hector Chinem unharmed. We also thank the Ahoada Area Commander and the DPO for their assurance of his safety and possible reunification with the Ekpeye public soonest.”
“We also want to call on the general public to provide useful information that will help the security agencies to get to the root of this matter, in order to ensure unconditional release of Mr. Hector Chinem and the arrest of those behind his setup kidnap.”
“While we pray and hope that he regains freedom soonest as promised, we employ the LGA Chairman and those saddled with the responsibility of securing lives and property in the LGA to do more in bringing lasting peace and reducing crime and criminality in the area.”
“Our traditional institutions are also called upon to do more traditionally to help curb this crime confronting us boldly and challenging us to our faces” Comrade Ibe stated on behalf of the ONC ONC and SYF.
