We’d Fix Access Road To Lagos Trade Fair Complex Before November -Omosefe-Ajayi

The Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Lagos International Trade Fair Complex, Mrs Lucy Omosefe-Ajayi, has assured Nigerians, especially those that frequent the trade fair complex that she is committed in fixing the access road to the complex to ease their sufferings before November this year.

Omosefe-Ajayi who stated this Saturday while reeling out her achievement since she took over as the head of the complex a year and four months ago, said that having reclaimed the green areas within the complex from street traders and hawkers, her next priority and that of the entire board chaired by Barrister Mela Audu Nunghe, is to rehabilitate the five kilometers road that lead traders and their customers to the market within the trade complex.

“We actually have two projects in our mind for LITFC. The rehabilitation of the five kilometer road and the bringing back of the yearly international trade fair,” she revealed.

With less than a year plus in the office, Omosefe-Ajayi’s impact is beginning to be felt by the traders and other stakeholders in the complex as she has succeeded in carrying them along in all her programmes and policies.

She also said that the complex which in its heyday used to be the choice venue for event organizers like the popular Poatson Easter and Christmas concerts is beginning to attract corporate Nigerians and their promotional activities and that in no time, the good old days will be back.

“That is why we are determined to fix the road because that is our only inhibition right now. We have the space to take as many as three shows simultaneously if need be. We have the security because there is a full fledged police station right inside the complex. Electricity is constant here. So, what else do we need apart from good road and that is what we are determined to fix,” she said.

Omosefe-Ajayi had within six months remitted over N900 million to the Federal Government coffers through the TSA as against the zero kobo that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) appointed concessionaire she took over from remitted to the government in nine years.
