We’ve Not Touched Everywhere But We’ll Get There! – Gov Otti Promises
CHARLES OGUGBUAJA, Ph.D.

His Excellency, Governor Alex Otti, OFR, of Abia State, Nigeria, has acknowledged that his administration has not developmentally and in terms of infrastructure, touched everywhere in the state, promising that his word of bond, is that, it would be achieved.
He made the plea on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in Amaku – Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State, during the traditional wedding of Miss Oluomachi Faith Nwaobia (the daughter of the Archbishop of Aba Ngwa Province of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, the Most Revd Isaac Nwaobia), and Mr. Chinemerem Jude Emeanaa.
The Abia State Governor noted that the careful and gradual infrastructural revolution his administration was embarking on has several indices and yardstick of measure as they are critically carried out, adding that, by the grace of God, every part of Abia would be partaker.
The Abia helmsman quipped that the things the people of Abia and beyond, have seen in the last three years, two and half months, are just tip of the iceberg, urging for patience as more surprising life enhancing development would be seen and felt as the state and his administration progress.
“This is just the beginning. This place has to be a different place, and the dignity of our people will be restored.
“We are in the process. We are not there yet. But we’ve just done 3 years and a few months. By the time we do 8 years and then bring someone who is better than us, because anybody succeeding me must be better.
“So, you can imagine what Abia will look like, and it is possible. So, let us not lose hope. We’ve not touched everywhere, but we are in the process; we will get to everywhere,” he futuristically clarified.
He paid glowing tribute to Archbishop Nwaobia for his consistent support throughout the governor’s political journey, describing him as a dependable man and conviction.
His words: “We could have struggled without success, but because there were men and women of God like Archbishop Nwaobia who prayed consistently, the struggle succeeded and the State is getting better.”
Gov Otti urged the couple to be peaceful, love each other as a blessed union.

Speaking, Archbishop Nwaobia thanked the Governor for honouring the invitation. He recalled his maiden meeting with Gov Otti, in 2012, during the opening of the Owerrinta Branch of the Diamond Bank, and at a presentation on how to reposition Abia State.
He noted that he was inspired by the then Managing Director of the Diamond Bank’s vision, leading to his commitment to support him, adding that he would remain grateful to God for making Gov. Otti what he is now, implementing policies that are making the State better. He prayed God to guide him in good health, and grace for him to accomplish his mandate.
Government officials at the event included the Senator representing Abia South Senatorial District, Sen Enyinnaya Abaribe; the Member representing Isiala Ngwa North/South Federal Constituency, Hon. Ginger Onwusibe; the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ihuoma Emeruwa; the Labour Party Senatorial Candidate for Abia Central, Sen Darlington Nwokocha; the Member representing Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency, Hon.
