Why I Impregnated My 17-Year Old Daughter – Father

A 47-year old man, Uchenna Egbuchulam, who had secretly and serially raped his 17-year old daughter with threat to kill her and eventually impregnated her, has finally opened up to the Police why he did so as he faces banishment from his community.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Nduhu–Alaenyi, Ogwa in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.
The suspect, Uchenna, is presently being held at the Police Command, Owerri, for the alleged dastardly act on his biological daughter.He is also facing banishment from his community for the abominable act to avoid calamity from befalling the community if he is allowed to continue to live among the people in the Community.
 However, he tried to defend himself by telling the Police that the victim’s mother had abandoned her to him when she was still a baby and he was watching her grow up and was tempted to engage her in sex romp before she eventually became pregnant.
This was disclosed by the State Police spokesperson, Orlando Ikeokwu, who revealed that the suspect was caught in the act by their neighbour who immediately reported the incident to the Police.
Ikeokwu further disclosed that the girl, who was abandoned by her Ivory Coast mother when she was an infant, had constantly been raped by her father with threats of killing her if she discloses his incestuous affair to anyone.
“He threatens her with a machete anytime he wants to rape her, saying he would kill her if she tells anybody,” Ikeokwu stated.
The Police spokesman said that the suspect will be charged before the Court for the alleged offence which attracts life imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty.The community has also shown great concern and wondered why the suspect had to sleep and impregnate his biological daughter, describing it as abomination which attracts banishment from their community if he is eventually released by the Police.
