Why We Formed Oyi Congress Ahead Of 2023 – Dr. Harris Chuma-Odili

The Convener, Oyi Congress, Dr. Harris Chuma-Odili, has said the group was formed with the aim of contributing to the development of communities in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.

In a statement from the group signed by Dr. Chuma-Odili, he said that the organization is a sociopolitical pressure group deeply concerned with the growth and rapid development of the communities and towns in Oyi Local Government area.

According to the statement, the group is made up of “the common people and the political class”, who will meet together to deal with political and other issues.

“The Congress is non partisan; everyone is invited to participate, irrespective of political party leanings. It’s time to redefine governance in Oyi. We know that many people, who cannot live together, cannot make progress. Getting together, planning, articulating, and moving forward. It’s time for us to survive and progress” Dr Chuma-Odili said.
