Woman Arrested For Buying Stolen Chivita Products

A 40-year old woman, Oluwakemi Oloyede has been arrested by the police at Ajao Estate, Lagos for buying stolen Chivita products worth over N3million.
The products were reportedly stolen by some of the company’s workers and sold to Oloyede.
She was charged before Magistrate’s court sitting in Isolo with conspiracy and stealing under the Criminal Code.
According to police, the offence was committed at the Chi Limited owner of Chivita products located at Ajao estate, Lagos.
Oloyede allegedly criminally conspired with some staff in the company and diverted a truck load of Chivita Hollandia Yogurts worth the amount.
The company workers, whose identities were not yet known because Oloyede refused to disclose, reportedly sold the products to her at a reduced price.
During interrogation, she declined to mention those involved and decided to face the consequence alone.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the deal was leaked and the management trailed and recovered the products from Oloyede before handed her over to the police.
She was arraigned in court where she pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs A. O. Adedayo granted Oloyede bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till December 2016.
