Woman Batters Judicial Staff Over Quit Notice

A Judicial staff of the Citizen Mediation Centre at Ikotun, Akeem Kolawole has been hospitalized aftermath of an attack by a female tenant, Damilola Eze who was served a quit notice by her landlord.

The incident happened at 2 Akinriho street, off Liasu road Idimu where Damilola resides.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Damilola and her landlord had disagreement leading to her been served notice to pack out from her apartment.

However, she refused to quit but told the landlord to go to court if he actually wanted her to give possession of the apartment.

The landlord, P.M.EXPRESS gathered, then dragged her to the Mediation Centre for the amicable settlement or taken possession of his property.

It was gathered that Damilola refused to honour the summon which led to the centre mandated kolawole to serve her another invitation to their office.

She was said to have became angry and reportedly attacked the victim.

Damilola, 28 was then arrested and charged before a Lagos court with assault and has been remanded in prison custody.

Narrating his ordeal, Kolawole said he was attacked after he brought the letter of invitation from his office to serve Damilola over reports by her landlord.

Instead, she reportedly grabbed kolawole and rained blows on him and in the process injured kolawole, who she accused of conniving with her landlord to illegally evicted her from the apartment.

The matter was reported to the police at Ikotun division and Damilola was arrested and taken to the Station.

She was charged with assault before Ejigbo Magistrate’s court.

She pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mr Akeem Fashola granted her bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.

Damilola was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail.

The matter was adjourned till 19 June 2016.
