A man, one Mr. Biodun did not bargain for what he received from his wife, Ife, on Saturday in Lagos after he trailed her to her shop and met her with a man he suspected to be her lover.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that he was  beaten up mercilessly by the wife publicly, as she carried him up and threw him on the ground to the surprise of the neighbours present.

The couple resided at Fashola Street but the wife owned a shop at Cyril Njoku Street in the Ejigbo, Lagos where the incident happened.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Mr. Biodun remained on the ground for some time, having already sustained serious injuries before their neighbours prevented the wife who had threatened to kill him from further attacking and then took him to a hospital for treatment.

It was gathered that trouble started between Biodun and his wife, Mrs. Ife after he went to her shop and met a man he had suspected to be dating his wife.
He reportedly tongue-lashed his wife, ordered her to close the shop and go back to their house. The wife ignored his directive until he attempted to close the shop. She then grabbed him, rained blows, carried him up and threw him to the ground.

The angry wife, Mrs. Ife explained that she was married to Biodun for several years and had four children yet he will not allow her to have peace. She said that Biodun had been trailing and  following her around, accusing her of sleeping with other men which she denied.

She said that sometimes he will beat her and asked her to confess that she had a lover and she will keep silent because he was her husband. She said that she opened the shop recently and he will not allow her to to get customers, instead he was coming to monitor her like a child.

On why she had to disgrace him in the public, she said she knew that she was stronger than her husband but never intended to do such until he provoked and disgraced her publicly and she had to act.

When our correspondent contacted Mr. Abiodun, he said that he was still surprised about what happened and how the wife attacked and beat him up like a baby. He said that he had contacted both  families to determine what he will do next.
