The Honourable Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, visited Lagos State to personally assess progress on three major infrastructure initiatives: the rehabilitation of Iddo Bridge, the reconstruction of Carter Bridge, and the ongoing Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway project.

He was accompanied by the Federal Controller of Works, Lagos, Engr. Olufemi Dare; the Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement (South-West), Moremi Ojudu and other notable officials.

During the tour, Engr. Umahi commended the contractors for delivering work of “exceptionally high quality,” noting that the standards observed align with the Federal Government’s vision for durable, world-class infrastructure. He emphasized that such commitment to excellence not only guarantees safety and longevity but also reflects the administration’s broader dedication to national development and economic growth.

The Minister’s remarks reinforce confidence that these critical projects will be completed on schedule, delivering enhanced transportation capacity, improved traffic flow, and expanded trade corridors across the South-West region. Stakeholders and citizens alike can expect tangible benefits, including reduced travel times, improved logistics efficiency, and new opportunities for local businesses.
