You See Soludo? The Man No Dey Sleep…

Posted on November 6, 2022

When this man told us he was coming to do this job 24/7 some persons didn’t know he meant every second of the day. Yesterday was another round of what I have christened “mission to verify” with Nwa Mgbafor.

First, he joined the Anglican communion on a prayer rally themed, “watch and pray”. He didn’t fail to leave the congregation with yet another engaging brief on his threefold levels of societal development – the individual, community and government – charging them to take responsibility as faith without work is dead.

We proceeded to Oko to inspect another devastating erosion site at Ezi Oko community. Governor Soludo was empathetic and emphatic. Of course the erosion challenge in Anambra is humongous such that the entire State budget multiplied by twenty cannot fix all of it. Yet, Soludo says there is hope if only we can begin to do the little things that matter. First, is to individually ensure “zero runoff water” from our houses. In the coming days, the government shall mediate an inter-commmunity dialogue for erosion hotbeds in the State. Yesterday was one out of a series of visits to Oko. One thing is certain, solution is here!

From Oko we proceeded to Umuchu-Umunze road where a section of the road had caved in. Governor Soludo has ordered for immediate intervention on the road, assuring the people that Contractors will be mobilized to site next week. The swift gain of Soludo’s verification visits is the spontaneous feedbacks he gets from locals who, more often than not, are unaware of his coming.

Indeed, Soludo applied for this job and is doing everything possible to satisfy his Employers — ndi Anambra.
