Your Labour Will Not Be In Vain – Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe Tells Workers

Posted on May 1, 2026

The President General of respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe (JP AP), has prayed and assured workers across Nigeria and beyond that their labour is priceless and cannot be in vain.
While appreciating their love and commitment to the overall development and progress of Nigeria, Amb Ibe said, “It is International Workers Day and a day set aside to appreciate the sacrifices and diligent services our workers render to make our nation greater”.
“Today, we remember every civil servant cutting short sleep to rush to work, the aching footsteps of every teacher in different classrooms, artisans and all labouring daily under the scorching sun and heavy rains to put food on the tables of families. We celebrate not just your labour, but your power, which shapes our communities and the future of the world.”
“On this day, I charge Government and all employers of labour to put the welfare of the workers in the front burner. Workers deserve better wages and benefits. Since the growth of the economy is tied to their productivity, they should be better motivated and encouraged by giving adequate attention to their overall well-being and good working environment.”
“As we mark International Workers’Day today, I earnestly pray that their labour and commitment will never be in vain. In their lifetime, things will improve and they will earn better wages and benefits from their efforts. Happy International Workers’Day to all our workers!” Amb Comrade Ibe concluded.
