The Lagos State chapter of the apex Igbo sociocultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has warned members of the public to beware of one Prince Ubochi C. Ubochi parading himself as Ohanaeze member and presidential spokesman, as the group described him an impostor.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the group also warned that Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State cannot be held responsible for any  dealings with Prince Ubochi hence the warning to members of the public because he is not an Ohanaeze member.
This was disclosed by the Chairman and Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Eti-osa  East Local Council Development Area, Engr. Jonathan Amadi and Chief Jude Iwuchukwu, including other Executive members during a press conference in Lagos State copied to Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State chapter, National Headquarters at Enugu, the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies.
It stated:
“PRESS CONFERENCE MADE BY OHANAEZE NDIGBO ETIOSA EAST LCDA AGAINST UBOCHI C. UBOCHI.
“The attention of the Executive members of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Etiosa East LCDA of Lagos State has been drawn to series of misleading publications by one Mr. Ubochi C. Ubochi, who resides in Royal Garden Estate, Ajah in Etiosa East LCDA claiming to be what he is not and causing divisions among Igbo”
To this end, we the executive of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Etiosa East LCDA, after conducting our findings unequivocally state as follows:
1. That the said Mr. Ubochi C. Ubochi is not a registered member of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Etiosa East LCDA.
2. He does not pay any dues nor attend meetings of Ohanaeze Etiosa East LCDA.
3. Being an Igbo man or helping people or residing in Royal Garden Estate in Ajah in Etiosa East LCDA did not make him a registered member of Ohanaeze Etiosa East LCDA.
4. We recall his action in the past when he petitioned the Nigeria Police Force Area J Elemoro, Command,
alleging that our Ezeigbo in Etiosa East LCDA, HRH Eze Kingsley Nwaololo, is not duly recognized but was unable to identify or prove his membership to Ohanaeze in Etiosa EastLCDA. Subsequently, he was warned and causioned against writing such petition  because he was not an Ohanaeze Ndigbo member in Etiosa East LCDA.
5. We wonder how a non members will claim a position or office in a group he is not a member.
6. We in Ohanaeze Ndigbo Etiosa East LCDA write to reaffirm our loyalty to the authentic Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State led by High Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene (Udochia).
7. We by this letter reconfirm posession of a copy of Court consent judgement issued by the Lagos State High court in favour of High Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene’s leadership. We are aware that till date, a higher court has not overruled that on appeal.
8. That we do not recognize any other person claiming to be President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State or any person claiming to be spokesperson to a non-recognized person claiming what he is not.
9. Ohanaeze Ndigbo Etiosa East LCDA is united under Chief Jonathan Amadi as leader and HRH Eze Kingsley Nwaololo as Ezeigbo in Etiosa East LCDA.
10. We call on Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, Ohanaeze worldwide led by Senator Azuka Mbata and the Nigeria security agencies to take note of our stand.
Long live Ohanaeze Ndigbo!
Long live Ndigbo and Lagos State!!
Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria!!!
When Prince Ubochi was contacted through his known phone number, it was switched off.
