Youths Should Explore Their Talents, Be More Creative – DJ Lagos

A 20-year old popular music and event entertainer, Mr. Blessing Nseobong Ubokudom a.k.a DJ Lagos, has advised Nigerian youths to be more creative and not waste their youthful age doing nothing.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that DJ Lagos gave the advice on the state of the youths in Lagos; he said that many do not want to work and earn legitimate living in Nigeria. Ubokudom said that the general belief that there was no work should not be an excuse for the youths to be roaming the streets or committing crimes, as every youth who had talents can work on them and earn decent living.
Akwa Ibom State-born Ubokudom said that he realised early after he finished secondary school that the available jobs in Nigeria can never accommodate the teeming population of youths, and so he decided to think and create job for himself in the entertainment industry.
Enterprising Obokudom observed that some youths roamed the street and took to various vices such as hard drugs, armed robbery, prostitution and other criminals tendencies. He attributed such vices to frustration and lack of creativity to start something with the little available money with the plan to grow to bigger in future.
He said that when he discovered that he cannot wait to get any work, he started with the little money available and was able to acquire a standard musical equipment which earned him regular incomes. Mr. Obokudom said that if he had not taken the decision, he would have probably be roaming the streets, committing crimes with the excuse that there was no work.
He lamented that many youths were doing nothing but wanted to be rich overnight. Obokudom attributed the increase in cyber crimes and other related frauds to the fact that youths were not exploring their talents, do not want be useful but rather blame the government for their failure to secure jobs.
He explained that he had not arrived, but added that his decision had relieved his parents the burden of taking care of him as they can focus on other areas. He said that his major challenge was how to reach out to clients who had no means to contact him when they had events. He explained that was why he opened social media handles with DJ Lagos for people to be able to contact him.
Obokudom said that he still nursed the dream to further his education and will do so by the time he had established his business properly in the entertainment industry.
