The Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has gifted 1,200 bags of rice to members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) across Ondo State for Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Tunji-Ojo also gave N1m each to all the 18 Local Government Secretariats of the All Progressive Congress across Ondo State, while members of the State Executive of the party were also gifted N5m by the Honourable Minister.
More so, the Interior Minister had also reached out to his immediate Constituency in Akoko North West and non-party members across Ondo State by gifting them two trailers of rice and
undisclosed amount of money.
Meanwhile, Tunji-Ojo had already ensured smooth and effective distribution of the 4 trailer loads of rice across the Sunshine State, while the cash gifts have equally been made available to all the concerned persons.
A stalwart of the APC, who spoke on Monday in Akure on condition of anonymity, praised the Interior Minister for giving out what past ministers could not give to party and non-party members in the recent democratic history of Ondo State.
“I am most glad that we now have a Minister that truly sees the entire state as his constituency. Tunji-Ojo deserves all appreciation for putting smiles on the faces of members and non-members of APC in Ondo State.”
“It also gladdens the heart that Tunji-Ojo has likewise thoughtfully made provisions for all the State Executive members of our great party, APC. This gesture is unprecedented in the history of Ondo State and the man deserves to be appreciated by everyone. My most sincere appreciation goes to the Interior Minister for his thoughtful Christmas and new year gifts”.
