Zahra Buhari, daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari and her fiance, Ahmed Indimi, son of Borno-born oil tycoon, will finally tie the proverbial nuptial knots on Friday 16 December, P.M.EXPRESS learnt.

The new date was reportedly fixed after due consultation and approval by President Buhari who demanded for the shift in the date after the heated media attention generated by the delivery of expensive designer boxes containing gifts from the groom family to the 21-year-old bride.

According to the content of the new invite for the wedding; “H.E Haj Aisha M Buhari cordially invites you to the wedding Fatiha of her daughter Zahra Buhari and Ahmed Indimi which will take place on December 16th while the Kamu will take place in Abuja. Details of the events will be communicated to you.”

The wedding was said to have been postponed as a result of President Buhari’s insistence on a low-key wedding for his daughter.

It was gathered that the president was uncomfortable with the attention the media was giving to the event, especially reports that the groom’s family presenting 30 Louis Vuitton bags to Zahra.
