Lady Steals Clothes, Caught At Supermarket

A 40-year old lady, one Ijeoma Ogbu, has been arrested after she was caught with clothes she allegedly stole at a supermarket in Lagos.P.M.EXPRESS reports that the alleged theft took place at Abubakar Street, Abule Egba, Fagba, Lagos.
The suspect was said to have pretended to have gone to buy clothes at the store but had another motive which was to steal clothes there. She was eventually caught as she reportedly hid the clothes in her bag and attempted to escape.
It was gathered that the owner of the store had incurred the loss of several clothes in the past before luck ran out on Ijeoma and she was caught in the act. She was handed over to the police.
At the police station, the owner of the store, Awolusi Saheed, claimed that the total clothes Ijeoma had stolen from him was about N562,000.
She was later charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for stealing.
She pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Mr. Victor Eruada, did not object to her being granted bail but asked for a date for hearing.
The prosecutor, Mrs. Dan-Oni, granted her bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail.
The matter was adjourned till 13th February, 2019.
