Lagos Government Diverts Traffic At Ojota Loop

Lagos State Government has announced the diversion of traffic from accessing the service lane into Ikorodu Road at the Ojota Loop inward Ikorodu due to its closure.
The access from the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway into the service lane is equally closed.
According to a statement issued by the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation, the diversion is imperative in view of the need to carefully manage traffic along the axis and maximize the gains of various traffic management strategies adopted by the present administration.
While appealing for the cooperation of motorists, commercial vehicle drivers and commuters, it advises all those intending to link the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway to go through the service lane to link up at the Loop in order to use the exits available on the service lane after the Ojota Garage or the pedestrian bridges along ther Ikorodu bound traffic.
The statement disclosed further that appropriate signs have been installed and traffic enforcement officers deployed to the area to ensure free flow of traffic, adding that motorists especially, the commercial bus operators, must restrict their activities to the service lanes and ensure that they use designated bus stops in the area.
