The police have finally tracked and arrested three armed robbers who invaded a petrol station at Idimu area of Lagos and snatched a Toyota Rav4 SUV to escape during a failed operation.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the suspects were arrested after one of them was apprehended at the Lagos airport while trying to escape from the state.

It was gathered that after the incident, the police were after the suspects and they had planned to beat the police to it by attempting to leave the state. But unknown to them the police was trailing their movement.

The robbers met their waterloo after they stole one of the phones inside the SUV they had snatched to escape after police foiled their operation. The stolen phone aided police in tracking their movement. Police sources said it was after the arrest of the suspect at the airport that they were able to arrest the two other suspects at their hideout.

The suspects have been transferred to the State Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, at the Police Command, Ikeja for further investigation.

P.M.EXPRESS had reported how the police at Area M, Command, Idimu foiled a robbery attack at a petrol station and recovered a Toyota Rav4 SUV, that the robbers used for the operation.

The incident happened at Mooru petrol station located at Idowu Egba bus stop along Igando/ Iyana Iba expressway, Lagos.
