Olufaki Of Ifaki Thanks The Senate For Siting Law School At Ifaki-Ekiti

“He that does good, having the unlimited power to do evil, deserves praise not only for the good which he performs, but for the evil which he forebears.”

The above Walter Scott’s maxim aptly describes the jubilation, which took over the peaceful town of Ifaki in Ekiti State, as the Senate on Tuesday announced the establishment of additional Law Schools in the six (6) geographical zones of Nigeria.

Before now, the Law School currently has campuses located in Lagos (Southwest); Abuja (North Central); Yola (Northeast); Kano (Northwest); Enugu (Southeast) and Yenagoa (South-South). The locations for the new campuses as contained in the passed Bill were: Kabba Law School Campus, Kogi State (Northcentral); Maiduguri Law School Campus, Borno State (Northeast); Argungu Law School Campus, Kebbi State (Northwest), Jos Law School Campus, Plateau State (North Central); Okija Law School Campus, Anambra State (Southeast); Orogun Law School Campus, Delta State (Southsouth) and Ifaki Law School Campus, Ekiti State (Southwest).

It is indeed a good omen for the newly installed monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adegbenro Falore, the Olufaki of Ifaki, who is full of praises and thanks to God Almighty and impartial Senate, which deemed it fit to bring the campus to Ifaki-Ekiti.

In his thanksgiving message, the monarch commended the Senate for the impartial efforts and thanked the Federal Government for the dividends of democracy being extended to all the geographical zones of Nigeria.

He said “I want to use this medium to thank the Senate for their impartial decision to locate the newly created Law School allocated to Southwest zone in Ifaki Ekiti. And also on behalf of all indigenes and good people of Ifaki Ekiti, we want to thank President Buhari, who in his democratic delivery signed into Law, the Bill to extend the locations of Nigeria Law Schools to appropriate locations. We shall continue to support the good tidings the present administration is giving to us. May Almighty God lead us to another good and better transition as we approach another dispensation”.
