As campaign ahead of the 2022 gubernatorial election in Osun State gets hotter by the day, the candidacy of Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has received big boosts with the endorsements from some ‘critical stakeholders’ in the state.

If these endorsements are anything to go, indications are that there are more troubles for the re-election bid of the incumbent governor, Mr Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola.

It was gathered that endorsement rallies by these’critical stakeholders’ which members run into thousands in the state would soon be held, but details about these are still be kept close to the chest of the major actors in the deal.

It would be recalled that only recently was Mr. Kola Alimi, a former chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC) and ex commissioner in Osun State defected to the PDP. Kolapo’s action, it was learnt, is still being badly felt by the ruling party in the state.

“I can tell you that no fewer than five different associations and planning public endorsements for PDP’s candidate, Ademola Adeleke. Rallies to this effect will hold any moment from now in the state capital, Oshogbo.

“I can also tell you that these associations have members in tens of thousands and their decision to join the fray of decampees by big wigs of APC to PDP and recent endorsement by National Association of Nigeria Students Union cannot be isolated from the bad governance of APC government of Governor Isiaka Oyetola

These associations, which are ready to endorse Adeleke, are being coordinated by a reputable organisation in Nigeria with presence in Osun State. The organisation, it was gathered, described the regime of Oyetola as a bad government that should not be allowed to return to power in the election.
