Olusegun Oluwole: A Tribute To My Mother
It’s just like a dream that when I wake up, I would be told that it’s not true that my mother, Mrs…. is alive. But I cannot wind back the time. The reality is that she had gone to find eternal rest with the Lord, the Almighty who lives in the Heavens.
The Bible says the memory of the righteous is blessed. Mom, this is very true of you. I shared very pleasant memories of you because you truly lived a good life.
You lived a godly life. Your life was full of love, care, kindness, and patience. I strongly believe you didn’t die but went home to rest with the Lord your saviour.
You were a virtuous woman who stood like a great pillar for us your children and other family members. Your life was well spent and you fulfilled the will of God.
My mother, what a nice and kind-hearted woman you were. You invested in the lives of everyone around you, just to make sure they live a better life for you to fulfill the Biblical injunction that says ‘Love your neighbours as thy self”.
It is so painful that death took you away too soon. Until we meet again, I will continue to love and cherish the memories we shared.
Continue to rest on dear mother as I say goodnight.
