Lagos SWAN Commends Sporting Lagos FC For Securing Promotion To NPFL

Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Lagos Chapter has felicitated the Lagos State Government and the management team of Sporting Lagos Football Club for securing promotion ticket to the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL after two years of existence.
Executive Chairman of Lagos SWAN, Olatutu Oladunni, disclosed her joy as she acknowledged the utmost commitment and passion of the club who were guided by a senior colleague and also a reputable member of Lagos State chapter, Godwin Enakhena, in securing an impressive promotion to the first-tier league in Nigeria.
Oladunni  congratulates the management, staff, players as well as the technical crew of the club for making sports sector, sports enthusiasts and the good people of Lagos State have a solid representation and also to feel the NPFL games in the state once more after the MFM FC.
Oladunni, who is also the first female chairman in the history of Lagos SWAN noted that the current development will heighten the status of Lagos State and will also promotes economic growth via sports tourism and other related sports activities within the confine of the NPFL.
The Lagos SWAN Chairman similarly commended the efforts of the present Lagos State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the support given to the sports sector in Lagos State, adding that it is not a doubt so much developmental growth has occurred in the sports sector in the state from the professional level down to the grassroots.
Oladunni said the support Lagos state government has rendered to sports journalists in Lagos in the last two decades, via the Lagos State Sports Commission and the Lagos Football Association has been quite impressive and commendable.
Oladunni therefore charged the entire team of Sporting Lagos FC to continue to remain focused and remain proud sports ambassadors to Lagos State and the rising youths.
Meanwhile, Lagos SWAN also congratulated the new legally constituted executives of Lagos FA. Oladunni hopeful that with the administration of football in the state, there would be a smoother synergy with Lagos SWAN.
