Just within few days after Buruj Sports Academy, a leading football academy in Lagos, Nigeria, unveiled and received an Irish and American player into its fold, the top academy has received yet another American player.
It will be recalled that P.M.EXPRESS had earlier reported that two foreign players, Uche David Chinonso, born in the United States of America to Nigerian parents, a 13-year old Nigerian-American striker and Oyon Osemudiame, born in Ireland to Nigerian parents, a 18-year old Nigerian-Irish defensive midfielder and center-back join the academy.
The new American player, King Chidi Okoye, was born in Cleveland, Ohio, United States of America. His father is Anambra State-born Nigeria-American.
King, who is a striker, will be starting his educational and sports programme from SS1 at Buruj Sports Academy. He joins the long list of young boys, whose parents love to see them go through the positive and practical tutelage at the academy
The academy’s CEO, Dr. Salaudeen Waheed Buruj, while commenting on the latest entrant said: “We are highly delighted to have parents and guardians bringing their kids and wards to the academy. It is a testament to the huge positive job we have been doing here”.
“The facilities at the academy offer a supportive environment and right ambiance for foreign and local players to excel and concentrate on their growth as athletes.”
“The academy remains committed to providing the necessary resources and opportunities for all its students to thrive on and off the field. The arrival of the latest American player marks a significant milestone in the academy’s mission of identifying and nurturing exceptional young talent across the world. It is a good proof that something is happening in Buruj Sports Academy, which is getting world attention.
