Gov Obiano Donates Vehicles to ANETT, COOU, Others

In the bid to enhance productivity, the governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano on Wednesday presented vehicles to Society for Equity, Justice and Peace (SEJUP), Anambra Economic Think Tank (ANETT), Awka Capital Development Authority (ACTDA), Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU).

In a short keys handing over ceremony, held at the Governors Lodge, Amawbia, Obiano urged the beneficiaries to apply the vehicles to the actual purposes for which they were given to them. Speaking further, the Governor told the groups that we cannot afford to fail, stressing that we must strive to succeed always for the benefit of ndi Anambra.

In their separate speeches of appreciation, the General Manager, SEJUP, Dr Emmanuel Ezenwaji, thanked the Governor for always partnering with the Anglican Church, in the development agenda of the state.

The Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Prof Greg Nwakobi, who received the patrol bus on behalf of the university, appreciated Gov Obiano for his achievements in security and promised to use the vehicle in patrolling the university community.

Speaking on behalf of ACTDA, the MD/CEO, Ven Okwosa, lauded the governor on his development policies for the Awka Capital Territory. In his words, “Awka is now wearing the looks of a befitting state capital, unlike before”.
