A 26-year old school security man, Paul Oko, has been arrested in Lagos for engaging an 11-year old student in sex romp inside the school premises.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Train Field Nursery and Primary school, Irawo New Site in Ikorodu area of Lagos.

It was gathered that the suspect lured the victim into the school’s security post after the closing period, confused her to remove her pant and penetrated her.
Having satisfied himself, he allowed her to go but was caught by one of the school teachers who interrogated and wanted to know what the student went there to do. It was then that she opened up that she had sex with security man, Oko, who had lured her to the place.
The matter was reported to the school management and her parents who involved the police. Oko was arrested and later transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command.
During interrogation, Oko reportedly admitted but claimed that he did not force her as alleged by the parents.
However, the police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement which may likely attract several years imprisonment if he is tried and convicted.
However, the prosecutor, Supol Benson Emerhi, asked the Court to grant an order for the DPP’s advice because the offence he committed was a capital one.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Sule-Amzat, directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.
She also ordered the remand of the defendant in prison custody pending when the DPP’s report will be ready.
The matter was adjourned till 20th June, 2019. The case may be transferred to the High Court if the DPP finds him culpable and recommends his trial for the alleged offence.
