Gov Dapo Abiodun Assures Residents Of Security, Commissions Police Vehicles

The Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Saturday commissioned 100 patrol vans and 200 motorcycles to in order to tackle insecurity in the State.
After the commissioning, which was witnessed by the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Adamu, the Governor said, “In pursuance of our agenda to reinvigorate the security architecture of Ogun State, our administration presented 100 patrol vehicles and 200 motorcycles to the Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police to strengthen the internal security of the State”.

“The equipment were commissioned by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu, who was here on a working visit.”
“Mr. Adamu, who promised to quickly contact our State Government to help in recruiting the best hands when Community Policing gets introduced across the country, disclosed plans to leave behind with us a Special Force headed by a former Osun State Police Commissioner, Fimihan Adeoye, to assist us in ensuring that we have peaceful society in our region.”

“We reconstituted our security trust fund, which had been moribund, we amended the law setting it up so that we can have in the fund people who can make it successful and also ensure that it has the right governance, so that it can be autonomous and independent” the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun said.
