Seasoned Chartered Accountant,Owoturo To Speak At Rotary Club of Ikeja

Seasoned Chartered Accountant and Investment Adviser, Seyi Owoturo will be speaking at the first corporate meeting of the Rotary Club of Ikeja this Rotary year.

Themed, ‘’The Patient Dog Eats No Bone- A Review of The Nigerian Economic Landscape with a view to understanding what we are all up against,” the lecture will be part of the meeting of the Club scheduled for today, Monday, July 26th, 2012 at Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja by 1pm.

Speaking on the session, the President of Rotary Club of Ikeja, Rotarian Gbenga Badejo, FCA, promised that it would be an illuminating and eye-opening one. 

Rotarian Badejo added that, ‘’Our theme for this Rotary year is ‘We serve to change lives.’ As we are all aware, we are in the seventh month of the Fiscal year which implies that we are well in the second half of the year 2021.

‘’The events of the past 19 months have led to the loss of people’s livelihood with very dire consequences and a lot of corporate bodies are struggling to survive. Our guest speaker who has a wealth of experience will help us to navigate the present and future.’’

He concluded, ‘’In this Rotary year, and like we have always done, we shall continue to invite speakers to address contemporary issues and also encourage life changing discourses in tandem with Rotary’s 7 areas of focus.’’ 

Owoturo, who is also an Integrated IT Solution enthusiast and Investment Analyst, is a graduate of Accounting from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife with over 20 years’ experience in the financial services spanning Venture Capital, Financial Advisory, Stockbroking, Banking, Corporate and Investor Services. 

He is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School and has attended several management trainings including at IMD, Lausanne and Cambridge Judge Business School.
