Adijat Attempts To Cut Off Neighbour’s Hand

A woman, Fatima Muhammed narrowly missed losing her hand after her female neighbour, Adijat Ajayi reportedly  targeted to cut off her left hand with an object suspected to be a cutlass for offending her in Lagos.

The incident happened at Taiwo Street in Mafoluku area of Oshodi, Lagos where they resided.

However, she missed her target and succeeded in inflicting a deep injury on Fatima’s hand and she was rushed to a nearby hospital in the pool of her blood.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that Fatima and Adijat had disagreement over an undisclosed matter which angered Adijat so much to the extent that she carried the object and targeted her hand to cut it off.

The assault was reported to the police at Makinde Division, Adijat was arrested and detained at the police station.

She was later charged before Ikeja Magistrates court for assault.

She pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Benson Emuehi did not object to her bail condition but asked the court to grant bail that will enable the suspect to come to court for trial.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi granted Adijat bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 24 May, 2018.
